Gloria & Emilio Estefan & Estefan Kitchen, have once again partnered with local organizations in South Florida, this holiday season, to serve Thanksgiving Day meals to friends and families in need of assistance at the 10th annual Estefan Kitchen Thanksgiving Day "Feed A Friend" event.
Over the past 9 years, this annual event has served more than 14,000 meals to families in transition. This year families will join together to enjoy a Thanksgiving Day feast that includes the traditional American dishes alongside Cuban classics prepared by Estefan Kitchen and the students at the Miami Culinary Institute. Families in attendance will also enjoy live music as well as kids' activities, including face painting, Christmas cookie decorating, and a special visit from Santa Claus.
Families and members from Amigo Together for Kids, Big Brothers, Big Sisters (Dade/Broward), Here’s Help, Hispanic Unity of Florida, Military Affairs Board and SOS Children’s Villages Florida will join the Estefan’s on this day of thanks.
"This is our favorite event of the year because it gives us the opportunity not just to "feed a friend" but to share time with them and celebrate our human connection," says Gloria Estefan.
"We owe a great deal of gratitude to our sponsoring partners for working with us to make this a day that these families will never forget," said Emilio Estefan.

ESTEFAN KITCHEN OPENS IN THE MIAMI DESIGN DISTRICT
Emilio and Gloria Estefan bring their culinary heritage to one of Miami’s most creative neighborhoods
Press Release here
Emilio and Gloria Estefan bring a new concept for sophisticated Cuban cuisine and live music to the Miami Design District’s Palm Court.
Emilio and Gloria Estefan announced they will debut their new fine dining concept, Estefan Kitchen, in the Miami Design District. Inspired by family recipes, Estefan Kitchen brings a refined take on Cuban cuisine to one of Miami’s most vibrant shopping and lifestyle destinations.
“We are honored to be the first Cuban restaurant opening in Miami's Design District and to bring our culinary heritage to this world-class shopping, arts and entertainment destination,” said Emilio Estefan. “Estefan Kitchen will feature traditional, family recipes presented in a new, healthy way that will appeal to both locals and our international guests. Gloria and I are so proud of Craig having personally witnessed his vision become a reality. We are honored that he invited us to be a part of this growing community to create an exciting new gathering place in one of Miami’s most inspiring neighborhood.”
Miami Design District’s visionary entrepreneur Craig Robins invited the Estefans to be part of the creative neighborhood and shopping destination dedicated to innovative fashion, design, art and architecture.
“The Estefans were really the first to bring high-quality, authentic Cuban dining to South Beach,” said Robins. “We are proud to welcome them to the growing list of world-class artists, designers and brands creating amazing experiences in the Miami Design District.” Estefan Kitchen is slated to open later this year in the Miami Design District’s Palm Court. In addition to its elegant dining room, the open-air bar and café will provide an ideal setting for cocktails and an entirely fresh take on refined Cuban cuisine. The restaurant will be open seven days a week for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.
Setting out to prove there’s always room for the tastes of home, Estefan Kitchen’s award-winning Executive Chef Odell Torres has drawn from traditional favorites to create a menu that pairs Cuban flavors with the glamour and vitality of the Miami Design District. Building on their track record for improving neighborhoods by bringing creative people together, Robins and the Estefans plan to surround Chef Torres’ inspired cuisine with a diverse range of music. Estefan Kitchen will serve as curator of live music in the district. “Music and food are inseparable in our culture,” said Gloria Estefan. “There’s no better way to pay homage to our heritage than to pair quality food with the best of Miami’s music talent.”
In addition to celebrating Cuban heritage, Estefan Kitchen in the Miami Design District Palm Court crowns 27 years of success in the hospitality industry for the Estefans. The new upscale concept joins their portfolio of celebrated restaurants in, Miami Beach, Hollywood, Orlando and Vero Beach.

Emilio and Gloria Estefan’s restaurant group that includes Larios on the Beach, Bongos Cuban Café and the new Estefan Kitchen Express MIA.
After achieving success with their music, Emilio and Gloria had an opportunity to open their first Cuban restaurant on Miami Beach in 1992. They felt it was a great extension of what they had already accomplished through their music, which was to showcase their culture to the world. It is another way to show their fans who they are – not just through their music, but through their culinary heritage.
Their restaurants bring these two worlds together. When you walk into any one of their restaurants, you’re surrounded by Cuban music while you eat. So it’s food and music, two of the best things in life. Estefan Kitchen allows people from all over the world to discover Cuban food, and learn more about our culture and heritage.
Enjoy! Buen Provecho!
